It has been a strange 2 years to say the least... life post-Covid is not the same as pre-Covid and that is a huge understatement. Whatever thoughts and lessons we have all learned since the outbreak back in early 2020, one thing is for sure - our future plans have taken a huge hit. Everyone in the travel industry had suffered, some more than others. We at www.desertroad.bike took a great hit right to the chin... but, there seems to be some light at the end of the tunnel and that is not a train that is coming at us :-)
Searches for motorcycle tours in Israel are rising significantly, website visits are up, emails and WhatsApp messages arrive more often, clicks on our FB ads are growing... this is a clear sign that the new normality is being created as we speak and people are back to their old habits, but with a new and more cautious approach. And this is a GOOD sign!!
So we picked up the glove and this is what we did:
- ordered 10 new Yamaha T7
- added the needed accessories
- re-designed our routes and added new ones
- negotiated new deals with hotels and restaurants
- optimized our tours to make them more flexible and meet the new Covid-19 requirements
- allow for more flexibility on reservations, guarantees etc.
Bottom line - we began to take reservations for spring 2022!!
